The activity was aimed at 15 participants from Peru, including teachers, technicians and institutional representatives from various public and private organisations (regional administrations, universities, agricultural cooperatives and development entities). The visit was held at the Agricultural Research Institute Finca La Orden-Valdesequera (CICYTEX), where the SMART STEP — Semi-Natural Grasslands for Education, Skills and Practice (Erasmus+) project was presented. The group participated in a guided visit to the CICYTEX Germplasm Bank, with explanations on genetic resources conservation, the collection of annual forage legumes and their potential use in pasture and grassland systems. Experiences were exchanged on agro-livestock ecosystem management and sustainable practices. The activity made it possible to identify collaboration opportunities and training needs related to the improvement of semi-natural grasslands.
