The staff training activity (WP2 Staff Training) of the “Strengthening of the Beekeepers Generation Bridging” (BeeBridge) project, supported by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training (KA220-VET) program, was successfully completed in Türkiye between September 15–17, 2026.
International Consortium Gathered in Türkiye
The training program brought together numerous international experts and institutional representatives from Poland, Spain, Czechia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Türkiye. The sessions focused on evaluating innovative training content and digital materials designed to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and experience between young and senior beekeepers.
Coordinated by the host organization, the Mediterranean Natural Life Association (NATURELDER), alongside the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, key highlights of the event included:
- Innovative Educational Content: Discussions under Work Package 2 (WP2) centered on sustainable production methods in beekeeping, the adoption of modern technologies, and the development of audiovisual training materials.
- Intergenerational Knowledge Transfer: Training modules aimed at blending traditional beekeeping wisdom with modern practices to pass on to younger generations were thoroughly evaluated.
- Fieldwork and Practical Applications: Experts from participating institutions had the opportunity to observe local beekeeping practices in Türkiye firsthand and engage in mutual knowledge sharing.
