Dr. Violeta Mandić, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Animal Husbandry, held another expert lecture, this time for the employees and associates of the Rural Development Agency of the Municipality of Inđija.

The focus was on the importance of semi-natural grasslands for sustainable agricultural production, biodiversity conservation, and mitigating the effects of climate change, as well as modern practices that contribute to preserving their productivity.

The international Erasmus+ project @csmartstep (Smart Step – Climate-Smart Steps in Grassland Management), in which the Institute for Animal Husbandry participates as a partner, was also presented. The project is aimed at developing innovative educational content and strengthening the capacity of experts to implement sustainable and climate-responsible solutions in grassland management.

The constructive discussion and exchange of experiences once again confirmed how crucial the cooperation between science and practice, continuous education, and knowledge transfer are for a more resilient agriculture and the sustainable development of rural areas.
