Our Spanish partner CICYTEX hosted a visit on 7 May 2026 from 20 participants from the Departments of Biology and Environmental Sciences at the University of Extremadura.
During the visit, information was shared about the activities carried out at CICYTEX related to plant genetic resources, conservation of annual forage crops, pasture improvement, biodiversity, and the sustainability of Mediterranean agro-livestock systems.
The event also provided an opportunity to present the Erasmus+ SMART STEP project and highlight its connection with education, sustainable management of semi-natural grasslands, and adaptation to climate change.
This visit represented a valuable opportunity for project dissemination and for engaging with university students studying biology, environmental sciences, and sustainability-related fields.
